What are the key ingredients of the Ophthalmic Ointment Desosept?
The ophthalmic ointment Desosept is a Medical device. Its formula is based on three ingredients of natural origin ::- Manuka honey MGO400: Manuka honey is a product of the hive directly from bee work. Its MGO index measures the Methylglyoxal (MGO) content of honey. It is this molecule that is believed to be at the origin of the antibacterial properties attributed to honey.
- Manuka oil obtained from the Manuka would have all the properties of this tree originating in New zealand, including anti-infective properties.
- The organic cinnamon oil is derived from the cranelier, well known for the cinnamon obtained from its bark. Cinnamon is also used in herbal medicine because of its many antibacterial properties in particular.
These ingredients will act synergistically to improve the hydration of the eyelid, regenerate its natural protection, and relieve irritation, soothe itching, and inflated eyelids.
How to use Desosept ointment in case of barley
For adultsClean the skin of the eyelids.
Apply a small amount of ointment to the eyelid and cause it to penetrate by massaging the area with the outer barley or chalazion. The massage must always be carried out in the direction of the orifice of the gland, i.e. on the upper eyelid: from top to bottom or, on the lower eyelid: from bottom to top.
In the absence of visible improvement within 5 days of starting treatment, it is recommended that a doctor be consulted.
Apply the ointment at least 3 times a day.
