My name is Jina, and I'll be your guide across the universe of French Health & Beauty Products.
I have French ancestry and relocated from the United States with my family to France 10 years ago. Being a product junkie, I quickly fell in love with French pharmacies and their place in French culture.
In France, the pharmacies are almost as ubiquitous as the roundabout, and there are approximately 18,000 of them. But this understates the prevalence of community pharmacies, as there are many additional parapharmacies.
The difference between parapharmacy and pharmacy is important, particularly regarding what we sell and are permitted to sell on this website.
A traditional pharmacy sells everything, including prescription medicines, and provides limited medical product assistance. A parapharmacy only sells non-prescription and non-medical grade health and beauty products.
On Pharmarcie.com, we mirror the parapharmacy. We do not sell any prescription drugs or medications.
Generally, this distinction suffices. However, there are instances where an active ingredient adjudicated non-medical in France can be considered a restricted ingredient in the United States and thereby restricted for resale.
To service our customers best, we currently hold a FAST ITEM stock for over 3,000 of the top-selling products to be shipped in express service.
In addition, we hold a STANDARD ITEM stock with over 22,000 products to be shipped in regular service.
For you, the customer, the only difference is the time it will take for you to receive your product.
FAST ITEM delivery in 2 - 4 days
STANDARD ITEM delivery in 7 - 14 days
All orders are shipped via the US postal service from our warehouse located in New Jersey.
All orders include a US postal tracking number that can be tracked on www.usps.com
The shipping cost will be the same, no matter where your product(s) is coming from:
Flat Rate Shipping: $6.99 for all orders under $100
Free Shipping: for all orders over $10
Suppose your order includes products available on different stocks. In this case, we will immediately ship the products available FAST ITEM stock (in 2 - 4 days) and ship the products from STANDARD ITEM stock as soon as possible (in 7 - 14 days).
Don't worry, you will only pay for one shipping rate.
We take full responsibility for this fulfillment process, so, you do not need to worry about any unwanted additional costs – we got you covered.
But, what does “as soon as possible” mean?
We currently send shipments to FAST ITEM stock twice per week, and if needed, we will increase this. Given the nature of our products, our shipments need to clear both US Customs and the FDA.
On average, our shipments take 5 business days, door-to-door. But this varies from the 3 business days to 10 business days (both extremes). But generally, it is safe to say that you will get your order delivered in 7 - 14 days.
If we cannot complete an order for any particular reason, we will immediately inform you via email.

I love walking into pharmacies and parapharmacies. I am so excited to see what new products are available, as there are always newcomers, both from existing and new brands.
All good pharmacies have specialists known as animatrice that are extremely knowledgeable and ready to help you with any questions. Although they are hired to work for the popular brands represented in the pharmacy, they will help you with any questions (while gently prodding you to their brand!).
And don’t forget to ask for échantillons – product samples – there are always plenty of those available if you ask (and we will always include at least one with your order on our site).

When I first came to France, I remember I was desperate to find Tylenol, which was unavailable. Little did I know then that the French equivalent of Tylenol was in all pharmacies (not parapharmacies) and in higher doses than the ones available in the US over the counter.
