Beaphar Fiprotec 50mg Spot-on Solution Cats 4 Pipettes of 0,50ml are recommended fipronil pipettes for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations in cats. In cats the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) can be integrated into a therapeutic treatment program for flea allergy dermatitis, if this has been previously diagnosed by the veterinarian. The duration of protection against flea infestation is 5 weeks. In cats the treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus) can kill ticks present in the animal within 48 hours. The treatment does not protect against new tick infestations.

By topical application on the skin. External only. 1 pipette of 0,5 ml per cat. Hold the pipette vertically. Tap the narrow portion of the pipette to make sure the contents are in the main part of the pipette. Cut the tip of the pipette with scissors. Spread the hair between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and gently press to empty its contents on the skin, preferably at two points, one at the base of the skull and a second 2-3 cm lower. Special care must be taken to avoid excessive moistening of the fur with the product, causing a tacky appearance of the fur at the treatment site. However, if this happens, this aspect will disappear within 24 hours of application. In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks. For optimal control of flea infestation, the treatment regimen can be based on the local epidemiological situation.
