Description:

Beaphar Tetramethrin Powder Dog and Cat 150g is a powder that, thanks to its composition based on tetramethrin (pyrethroids), has an important activity on ectoparasites such as fleas and ticks. It can be used on young animals from the age of 2 months.

Indications:

To fight fleas and ticks. Dogs and cats from the age of 2 months.

Composition:

Tetramethrin 2mg, excipient q. s. p. 1g.

Directions:

Use approximately 2mg of tetramethrin per kg of body weight by the cutaneous route, i. e. 1 g of powder per kg of body weight, which corresponds to 5 g of powder for a 5 kg animal. Apply the powder to the coat, avoiding the eyes and muzzle, while brushing the fur against the grain to penetrate the product. Then brush the coat to remove the excess powder. The treatment can be repeated 2 to 3 times a week and once a week as a preventive measure. Do not use in sick or convalescent animals or with extensive skin lesions. Use of the product during pregnancy or lactation should only be done after evaluation of the benefit / risk ratio established by the veterinarian. Do not simultaneously use other insecticides of the pyrethroid family. External use. Special precautions for use:- On animals: Avoid contact of the powder with the eyes or the mouth of the animal. In the event of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not mix with food. Do not use in puppies and kittens less than 2 months old. - For the person administering the product to animals: Wash hands after use. Do not smoke, drink or eat during the application. In case of accidental exposure with the eyes, rinse carefully with water. Use in a well ventilated room, preferably outdoors. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Other Precautions: Tetramethrin may have a toxic effect on aquatic organisms. Do not let dogs bathe in waterways in the days following the application of the product. The side effects are: lethargy, anorexia, hypersalivation, tremors and ataxia. The signs of poisoning are tremors, muscle weakness, hypersecretion and respiratory distress. If nervous disorders appear, wash with lukewarm water and soap to remove product remains. Do not store at a temperature above 25°C. Keep out of sight and reach of children. The product may be toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Containers and product remains should therefore not be left near water points to avoid contamination. Empty packaging and product residues must be disposed of in accordance with current practices governed by waste regulations.
