UPSA Betaine Citrate effervescent tablets are indicated for the treatment of dyspepsia: slow digestion and bloating.
This digestive medication is sugar-free and lemon-flavored. It is for adults and children over 15 years of age.
Betaine Citrate Composition
This medication contains 2g of betaine citrate per tablet.
The complete formula of UPSA Betaine Citrate tablets also includes the following ingredients: sodium bicarbonate, anhydrous citric acid, mannitol, powdered lemon flavor, sodium benzoate (E211), sodium saccharin, and macrogol 6000.
Betaine Citrate Dosage
1 to 3 tablets per day, to be taken before or after meals, after dissolving them in half a glass of water.
The duration of treatment with Betaine Citrate is limited to 7 days. Beyond this period, or if symptoms worsen, medical advice will be necessary.
Precautions and contraindications for UPSA Betaine Citrate
If you are allergic to any of the ingredients, do not take Betaine Citrate.
UPSA Betaine Citrate during pregnancy or breastfeeding
It is best not to use this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The sodium content of one UPSA Betaine Citrate tablet
Each effervescent tablet of UPSA Betaine Citrate contains 434 mg of sodium. This high sodium content should be taken into account when following a salt-free or low-salt diet.
Side effects of UPSA betaine citrate
Like any medication, this medication can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
In some cases, this medication may cause an allergic reaction (spots and/or itching and/or redness of the skin, or sudden swelling of the face and neck).
