Boiron Arnica ointment is a homeopathic medicine traditionally used to remedy localized trauma without wounds: shocks, falls, bruises, bumps on the forehead (pigeon egg). This ointment can also be used in cases of muscle fatigue.
This ointment against blows is composed of 4% Arnica mother tincture, the rest being petroleum jelly.
Dosage of Boiron Arnica ointment
Arnica ointment should be applied to dry, clean skin 2-3 times a day. It can be used from the age of 1 year. The ointment must be absorbed using a light massage of the painful area. If you can, apply ice or cold to the impact before applying the arnica ointment.
If the pain is very intense, accompanied by swelling or bleeding, it is necessary to consult a doctor to assess post-traumatic management.
Contraindications of Boiron Arnica ointment
Boiron Arnica Ointment should not be used on mucous membranes, eyes, wounds, infected lesions or oozing dermatosis.
In pregnant or breastfeeding women, Arnica ointment can be used, however, as with all medications, it is best to seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
