The homeopathic medicine Calcarea carbonica ostrearum dose is composed of a strain of animal origin and two excipients, lactose and sucrose.
The Boiron drug strain is composed of calcium carbonate from oyster limestone.
Calcium carbonate from oysters is a component combining carbon ions and calcium ions present in limestone and which is also found in chalk, marble, egg shells, coral and the skeleton of vertebrates including that of man.
Homeopathy is a pseudo-science founded at the beginning of the 19th century by a German doctor, but whose origins go back to antiquity and to Hippocrates who, himself, largely contributed to freeing medicine from philosophy or theurgy to make it an autonomous field. Applying for the status of alternative therapy, homeopathy is based on a principle opposite to that of so-called classical medicine, by focusing its attention on potentially toxic animal, plant, mineral and chemical strains, the objective being to stimulate the memory of the body's defense system and make it activate its immunity mechanisms. Remember to dissolve the globules in a small glass of water to give to a child under 6 years old to avoid the risk of misdirection.
Do not use this medication if lactose and sucrose are contraindicated.
