Composition of Causticum granules

Causticum in granules is developed from a strain, causticum, specific to homeopathy and its method of preparation.

This strain is obtained through the distillation of a mixture of freshly slaked lime and potassium bisulfate.
It is subsequently combined with lactose and sucrose to form granules which can be melted under the tongue by the patient.

Homeopathy owes its principles to a German doctor from the end of the 18th century, Samuel Hahnemann, and is based on a fundamental law, that of similarities. Unlike conventional medicine which aims to relieve symptoms, this alternative medicine focuses on strains from nature with effects similar to the illness from which the patient suffers, the objective being to stimulate the body's immune defense mechanisms through ingestion. However, in order to prevent large doses from being toxic, strains like Causticum undergo successive dilutions to the hundredth in a solvent, most often purified water, with the aim of minimizing the effects of the substance, without losing its virtues thanks to the memory of water.

The Boiron laboratory offers different dilutions indicated by the number of CH, that is to say the number of successive dilutions made from an original macerate. Homeopathy treats different symptoms depending on the patient's pathology and physiology.
