Formica rufa granules is a homeopathic medicine from the Boiron laboratory.
Composition Formica rufa 5CH granules
It is made from an insect, the red wood ant, a species very widely represented throughout Europe, with its preferred habitat being deciduous and coniferous forests as well as parks.
Formica rufa is characterized by a relatively aggressive nature towards its direct environment and its territory. Omnivorous, it does not have a stinger, but projects formic acid up to 25 centimeters away.
Formica rufa is produced from the entire insect after grinding. The mother tincture obtained, after maceration of the strain in the solvent, is then diluted several times. It is finally mixed with lactose and sucrose to form granules.
The Formica rufa granules will then be ingested sublingually.
The medicine offers different dilutions noted in CH for Hahnemannian centesimals and intended to adapt the dosage of Formica rufa according to the symptoms to be treated and the physiology of the patient.
