This medication comes in the form of granules, 80 in number, packaged in a Boiron tube.
Composition of Witch Hazel granules
These granules are composed of a strain of plant origin and two excipients.
The homeopathic Witch Hazel strain comes from a shrub native to Asia or North America, Witch Hazel. She integrated traditional Native American medicine.
To produce Witch Hazel granules, a piece of the plant was crushed then placed in contact with a solvent for maceration. The result of this maceration gave a mother tincture, containing plant active ingredients. Then, this extract underwent several dilutions. Dilutions to the hundredth are called Hahnemannian Centesimals. This is a reference to the doctor who founded homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann. They are abbreviated as CH. Thus, 7 CH indicates that the mother tincture has undergone 7 hundredth dilutions.
Dosage of witch hazel granules homeopathic medicine
The granules are to be taken orally and allowed to melt once placed under the tongue. Before the age of 6, they will need to be dissolved in a small amount of water. You must turn the cap before you have the desired number of granules.
