Lac caninum granules is a homeopathic medicine from the Boiron laboratory.

Composition of Lac caninum granules

The granules which constitute it are composed of a strain of animal origin and excipients, sucrose and lactose.

The animal strain, Lac caninum, which composes it is female dog's milk. It is a milk that contains lipids, as well as hormones and cholesterol.

This strain, in order to be used in this medicine, was first macerated using a solvent, which allowed the production of a mother tincture. The latter, which contains active ingredients from the strain, was then diluted several times. After dilution and dynamization, the granules were impregnated. These include sucrose and lactose, two excipients.
The mother tincture has undergone several dilutions. These are indeed fundamental in homeopathy. The dilutions, when they are to the hundredth, are qualified, in reference to the founding doctor of homeopathy Samuel Hahnemann, as Centésimales Hahnemanniennes (CH).

Dosage of Lac caninum granules

Method of administration of Lac caninum granules: oral route. The granules should be placed under the tongue and allowed to melt.
To administer granules to a child under 6 years old, they must be dissolved in a small amount of water.
