Ledum palustre dose is a homeopathic medicine from the Boiron laboratory.
Composition of Ledum palustre in dose
Ledum palustre in dose is a preparation made from a mother tincture of a whole plant extracted from Ledon des marshes, also called wild rosemary.
Mainly populating the peat bogs and boreal tundras of North America and Eurasia, this rhododendron from the Ericaceae family is traditionally used in herbal medicine and aromatherapy. This plant contains a toxin which makes its consumption dangerous although it was widely used during the Middle Ages to flavor beer, before hops came to replace it.
The drug Ledum palustre in dose therefore comes from a plant strain which has been left to macerate in a hydroalcoholic solution in order to extract the main active ingredients and in particular its toxin which homeopathy particularly considers. This alternative medicine, which appeared in the 19th century in its most established form, takes the opposite approach to its big sister, classical medicine, by seeking “toxic” substances to treat pathologies with the aim of stimulating the body's immune system. In order to inhibit the effects while retaining its imprint, the mother tincture resulting from maceration is then diluted successively at the rate of 1 drop for 99 drops of solvent. The number next to the word CH indicates the number of dilutions carried out.
