Lithic tourmaline 8 DH is a homeopathic medicine from Boiron laboratories. In aqueous solution, it is encapsulated in ampoules to be diluted in a little water before consuming them. The strain used to formulate this medication comes from tourmaline, a mineral group from the silicate branch associated with magmatic and metamorphic rocks. It was extracted then immersed in a hydroalcoholic solution so that its maceration reveals these active ingredients. Then it was diluted eight times, using the same process, namely 10 cl of solution mixed with 1 liter of hydroalcoholic solvent, so as to obtain one hundred millionth of the mother solution, or 8 DH.
This practice of dilution mainly concerns homeopathy and postulates the idea that water remembers the specificities of a substance that has been immersed in it. On the other hand, this alternative medicine aims to administer strains whose effects are similar to the symptoms felt by the patient in order to develop their natural defense mechanisms specific to the pathology.
