Boiron Luteinum Granules

Lutein granules, also called Luteinum granules, is a homeopathic medicine from the Boiron laboratory.

It is composed of granules impregnated with a diluted mother tincture. There are 80 of these granules.

Composition of Lutein granules

The mother tincture which was used to impregnate them was made by bringing a strain into contact with a solvent containing alcohol. The maceration thus carried out made it possible to extract the active ingredients from the strain. The mother tincture, containing the active ingredients, was then subjected to several dilutions. These are CH, short for Hahnemannian Centesimals. These are dilutions to the hundredth. 5 CH, for example, means that the dye has undergone 5 hundredth dilutions. It is this diluted mother tincture which was then dynamized, then used, by spraying, to impregnate the granules. These are composed of two excipients: lactose and sucrose.

The strain used in this medicine is of animal origin, with Lutein referring to the luteinizing hormone.
Luteinizing hormone is secreted by the pituitary gland and is involved in the control of the sexual glands.

Dosage of Luteinum granules homeopathic medicine

Obtaining the granules is done by inverting the tube so as to have the cap facing down, then turning. The granules will then be present in the cap.
The method of administration of this medication is orally.

In adults and children over 6 years old, the granules should be left under the tongue where they will melt.
For administration to a child under 6 years old, the granules should be dissolved in a little water.

Precautions for using Luteinum granules

If, despite taking Luteinum granules, symptoms persist, consultation with a doctor is necessary.
Lactose and sucrose are excipients with a notorious effect. This homeopathic medicine is contraindicated in cases of intolerance to certain sugars.
