Composition of Nux vomica homeopathic dose

The Boiron Nux vomica drug strain in dose was extracted from the vomica nut.

The vomic nut is the fruit of the Vomic tree. This tree, around fifteen meters on average, takes root mainly in the countries of South-East Asia, particularly in Malaysia. The vomic nut is renowned for its richness in strychnine, a particularly toxic alkaloid which has often been used as a nerve stimulant despite its proven dangerousness, depending on the sensitivity of its dosage.

Nux vomica is one of the best-known strains in homeopathy, which indicates it in the context of many pathologies. In order to limit the risks of intoxication as much as possible, the Boiron laboratory relies on the pharmacological process established by Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of this alternative medicine, which involves maceration of the extract in a hydroalcoholic solution then a succession of dilutions carried out to the hundredth in a solvent (most often purified water) until the desired dosage.

The globules are taken once, per dose, and allowed to melt under the tongue for gradual absorption.
