What are Paeonia officinalis granules?
The medicine Paeonia officinalis granules draws its virtues from a peony extract and more precisely from its tuberous stem. This extract makes up the strain, Paeonia officinalis.
Very common in the West (Europe and the United States), but also in the Far East, such as in China in particular, the officinal peony can be recognized by its large corollas of red petals or lighter pastel shades in the shape of a ball and crowning a leafy stem. Besides China, the peony is also very anchored in Japanese culture, both in artistic imagery and in traditional medicine.
Homeopathy also took an early interest in this plant to make it an important homeopathic medicine in its catalog. Paeonia officinalis is available in several hundredth dilutions and comes in the form of granules of lactose and sucrose, to be allowed to melt under the tongue for prolonged release. Each CH dilution was made from the same mother tincture, at the rate of one drop of solution for 99 drops of solvent, successively.
