Respyl oral solution from Boiron laboratories is a homeopathic veterinary medicine traditionally used for benign acute conditions of the upper respiratory tract. It is intended for cats as well as dogs.
These animals are likely to be affected by conditions affecting the upper respiratory tract, that is to say the pharynx, larynx and nasal cavities. The animal suffers from a runny nose and sneezing. He may have difficulty swallowing.
What are the ingredients of Respyl oral solution for dogs and cats?
Respyl is a veterinary medicine combining 9 homeopathic strains whose dilutions are between 3 and 5 CH. It is intended for acute conditions. Thus, Antimonium tartaricum is used against coughs, as is Bryonia. Ipeca is a strain that is used against asthma, bronchitis and coughs. Aconitum napellus is given in cases of fever and cough, and Belladonna in cases of fever as well as inflammations affecting the ENT sphere. Drosera is a strain suitable for nasopharyngitis or laryngitis. Rumex crispus is used against coughs and rhinitis and Sticta pulmonaria against blocked noses. Finally, Pulsatilla is used against rhinitis.
Dosage of Respyl Boiron
Respyl comes in the form of an oral solution. The bottle comes with a graduated pipette.
For an animal weighing less than 20 kg, the dosage is 20 drops per dose. Between 20 and 40 kg, it is 40 drops per dose, and between 40 and 60 kg, it is 60 drops per dose. You must repeat the intake 3 times a day: morning, noon and evening for 8 days. As soon as it improves, the shots can be spaced out. The solution can be administered either diluted in the animal's drink or directly into its mouth.
