The Boiron medication Ruta graveolens in granules was obtained from a plant strain, namely an extract of fresh roots of Rue officinale.

This plant, also known as Fetid Rue, is a shrub of the Rutaceae family that can reach 100 cm in height and is recognizable by its glaucous green branched stems and its yellow corymb-type inflorescence flowers.
