Saponaria officinalis granules is a Boiron medicine in granules which incorporates a strain of plant origin called Saponaria officinalis, the scientific name for soapwort.

Soapwort is an herbaceous plant commonly called fuller's weed, soap herb, pit soap, ditch soap or saponière. Soapwort, which grows particularly on paths and in ditches, was used in Antiquity as a medicinal plant. Its roots were used as soap for cleaning textiles.

The Boiron drug Saponaria officinalis granules was manufactured by macerating the plant for a long time in a solvent incorporating alcohol, which made it possible to obtain, at the end of this process, a mother tincture, that is to say a liquid containing active ingredients of the plant. This mother tincture is then diluted several times. These dilutions, if carried out to the hundredth, are called "Hahnemannian Centesimals" (CH).
