Composition of Sticta pulmonaria granules
The drug strain Sticta pulmonaria is named after lung lichen.
Pulmonary lichen is a fungus with a large thallus. The signature theory led to its use in medicine for the treatment of conditions affecting the lungs due to its resemblance to lung lobes.
This strain of plant origin, during the development of this medicine, is subjected to a maceration process with a solvent. This allows you to obtain a mother tincture loaded with active ingredients. Then, this mother tincture is diluted several times. The dilutions carried out are hundredth dilutions, Hahnemannian Centesimals, abbreviated as CH. The name of these centesimals is a reference to the doctor who founded homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann. After the maceration, dilution and dynamization processes, there is impregnation of granules. The latter are formulated with two excipients, sucrose and lactose.
The granules thus exist in several dilutions.
Dosage of Sticta pulmonaria granules
The method of administration of Sticta pulmonaria granules is orally: the granules will be placed under the tongue to melt there. To administer these granules to a child under 6 years old, they must be dissolved in a little water.
