Uricystyl Oral solution from Boiron Laboratories is a homeopathic medicine traditionally used in cases of functional urinary disorders in dogs or cats, in the absence of other underlying pathologies.
Like their owners, cats and dogs can suffer from urinary problems and have difficulty urinating (dysuria). This pathology can be due to the presence of stones or to an infection affecting the kidneys, bladder or urethra, or to many other factors. Difficulty urinating can lead to urinary retention which can have serious consequences.
Composition of Uricystyl Oral solution Boiron
Boiron's Uricystyl oral solution for cats and dogs is a veterinary medicine that combines 8 homeopathic strains. The Cantharis strain (5 CH) comes from the cantharid, a beetle also known as the “Michae Fly”. It is traditionally used in cases of urinary disorders. The Sérum d'Anguille (5 CH) strain comes from the fish of the same name. It is traditionally used in cases of inflammation of the kidneys (nephritis). The Apis mellifica strain (5 CH) comes from bees. It is traditionally used in cases of insect bites, hives or burns. Mercurius corrosivus (4 CH) is a strain derived from mercuric chloride (sublimated corrosive). It is traditionally used in cases of inflammation of the urethra, ulceration of the mucous membranes or even an incessant urge to urinate. Belladonna (5 CH) comes from Belladonna, a plant with the unequivocal names “poison cherry” or “devil’s cherry”. It is traditionally used in cases of illness of infectious origin. Terebinthina (5 CH) is a strain derived from turpentine oil. It is traditionally used in cases of cystitis or kidney pain. The Berberis vulgaris (3 CH) strain, for its part, comes from the barberry, a thorny shrub. It is traditionally used in cases of renal colic or hepatic colic. Finally, Solidago virga aurea (3 CH) is a strain which comes from the solidago also called “Golden Sheaf” because of its flowers. It is traditionally used in cases of difficulty urinating.
The veterinary medicinal product Uricystyl from Boiron in oral solution also contains ethanol at 15% (V/V).
