Description
Borax/Boric Acid Biogaran Conseil 12 mg/18 mg per mL is an ophthalmic lavage solution in convenient single-dose containers, intended for eye washing in cases of eye irritation.
Each 5 mL single-dose container contains Borax 12 mg and Boric Acid 18 mg per mL. The solution is designed to help cleanse the eyes and relieve superficial irritation by facilitating the removal of external irritants such as dust, makeup particles, or other foreign particles.
The preservative-free single-dose format provides convenient hygienic use. Each container should be used immediately after opening and discarded after use.
This is a non-prescription medicine. Read the package leaflet carefully before use.
Indications
- Eye washing in cases of eye irritation
- Helps cleanse the eye
- Helps relieve discomfort associated with superficial eye irritation
- Helps facilitate removal of external irritants such as dust, sand, insects, or makeup debris
Directions
The recommended dosage is 1 to 3 eye washes per day.
- Wash your hands thoroughly.
- Open the single-dose container.
- Turn the container upside down and gently squeeze to administer the solution directly into the eye.
- Do not allow the tip of the container to touch the eye or eyelids.
- Wipe away excess solution with a clean compress or cotton.
- The same single-dose container may be used to wash both eyes during the same application.
- Discard the container immediately after use. Do not reuse an opened container.
If using other eye drops at the same time, wait 15 minutes before instilling them.
Treatment should not exceed 2 days without medical advice.
Ingredients
Active ingredients per 1 mL of solution:
- Borax: 12 mg
- Boric Acid: 18 mg
Other ingredients: Sodium Chloride, Rose Water Concentrate, Purified Water.
Contraindications
Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to borax, boric acid, or any of the other ingredients.
Precautions
- For ophthalmic use only.
- Do not inject or swallow.
- If irritation does not improve or becomes worse after 2 days of treatment, or if new symptoms appear, stop using the product and consult a physician.
- This product is not intended to treat irritation caused by contact lenses.
- Contact lens wearers must remove their lenses before washing the eyes.
- Because the solution does not contain preservatives, an opened single-dose container should never be reused.
- Seek medical advice in case of eye disorders, unusual eye symptoms, reduced visual acuity, or eye pain.
- If symptoms persist, worsen, or new symptoms appear, discontinue use and seek medical attention.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be undertaken with caution.
