Cocyntal is a homeopathic medicine from Boiron laboratories intended to relieve colic in infants as well as the various associated symptoms such as abdominal pain, intestinal gas and agitation that prevent good sleep.
It comes in the form of an oral solution distributed in 30 single-dose containers of 1 ml.
Composition of Cocyntal single doses
It consists of 3 strains dosed at equal levels, i.e. 333.3 mg for a dose of 1 ml, but in different dilutions to the hundredth (CH).
These are Carbo végétalis 5CH, colocynthis 9CH and Cuprum metallicum 5CH.
Dosage of Cocyntal oral single doses for infants
The Boiron laboratory recommends a single dose during each feeding or bottle, 6 times every 24 hours. It also recommends a prior consultation with a pediatrician to confirm or adjust the diagnosis, particularly if symptoms persist or in the event of traces of blood in your child's stools, fever, bruising and vomiting.
On the other hand, at the first signs of improvement, you can space out the doses and stop the treatment when all the symptoms have disappeared.
Precautions for using Cocyntal oral solution
Do not administer if allergic to any of the strains.
Administration is exclusively orally. Do not inject or apply into the eye or ear.
