Product Information

Cystine / Vitamin B6 Biogaran Conseil is a medicine reserved for adults indicated as an adjunctive treatment for fragile nails or hair. It provides a supply of cystine, a sulfur-containing amino acid and vitamin B6.

Its active substances are (for 1 film-coated tablet):

L-cystine
500 mg

Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6)
50 mg

The other components of its formula are microcrystalline cellulose, talc and magnesium stearate.
Lamination: Opadry II Yellow*, macrogol 6000
*Composition of Opadry II Yellow: polyvinyl alcohol, talc, macrogol 4000, titanium dioxide (E171), soy lecithin, quinoline yellow aluminum lake, iron oxide yellow (E172).

Dosage of Cystine/Vitamin B6 Biogaran advice
The recommended dosage is 4 tablets per day, in 2 doses, to be taken at mealtimes with a large glass of water.

Cystine/Vitamin B6 Biogaran advice has been issued to you on a personal basis in a specific situation. Therefore, it cannot be adapted to another case, which is why you should not recommend it to another person.

Contraindications of Cystine/Vitamin B6 advice Biogaran
This medication should not be used in cases of allergy to L-cystine, pyridoxine hydrochloride, or any of its components, but also in cases of allergy to peanut or soy (presence of soy lecithin).
It should not be used in cases of cystinuria, or in combination with levodopa.

Treatment with this medication does not exempt you from any specific treatment. Therefore, if symptoms persist after 1 month of treatment, or if they worsen, or if other problems appear, you should seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.

Always inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicines used recently or currently, in order to avoid possible interactions between the different medicines.
It is necessary to avoid any intake of pyridoxine in the absence of a dopadecarboxylase inhibitor.
Inhibition of levodopa activity when used without a peripheral dopadecarboxylase inhibitor.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, always ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using any medicine.

Cystine can be taken in combination with methionine as in lobamine cysteine.
