Product Information

Drill tablets are available without a prescription. This medication for mild sore throats without fever can also be used to treat small mouth sores and relieve canker sores. They are suitable for adults and children aged 6 and over.

Drill lozenges contain a combination of two active ingredients. First, a local anesthetic, tetracaine hydrochloride dosed at 0.2 mg and then a local antiseptic, chlorhexidine gluconate at a rate of 3 mg per lozenge.

To complete the formula of each Drill throat lozenge, the excipients are as follows: ascorbic acid, poppy flavor (cherry and raspberry alcoholates; alcoholates of cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant buds, blackcurrant fruit, vanilla; essential oils including bitter almond, wine lees, orange, rosé; aromatic hyperconcentrates such as absolutes and concretes, including vanilla, jasmine, iris, leaves of violet, sucrose), pulmoral aroma (menthol, eucalyptus essential oil, thymol, terpineol), ammonium glycyrrhizate, cochineal red A, anhydrous glucose, sucrose.

Dosage of Drill lozenges
Treatment should not exceed 5 days, at a rate of 1 to 4 lozenges per day for adults and 1 to 3 for children under 15 years old. Drill tablets should be taken at least 2 hours apart and should not be used before a drink or meal due to the risk of aspiration (risk of swallowing sideways).

If symptoms persist or worsen (fever, purulent cough, extensive lesions), medical consultation is necessary.

Precautions for use
These throat lozenges should not be used by patients who are allergic to local anesthetics, chlorhexidine or any other component of their formula.
In addition, other medications contain the same active ingredients as Drill, so they should not be combined: if in doubt, seek advice from your pharmacist or your doctor.

Each Drill lozenge contains sugar, so this will need to be taken into account in diabetic patients or people looking to lose weight.

The presence of tetracaine can result in a positive doping test for athletes.

The indicated treatment duration should not be exceeded as this could modify the bacterial flora naturally present inside the mouth.

Taken repeatedly or excessively, Drill lozenges pass into the general circulation which can lead to disorders of the nervous system such as convulsions or the heart.

Packaging: 24 lozenges to suck

Drill without sugar is also available on our site.
