This Drill Rosat Honey throat medication comes in the form of lozenges to suck. Available without a prescription, it contains a local antiseptic: chlorhexidine which will act against the germs responsible for ENT pathologies. Drill Miel Rosat lozenges also contain a local anesthetic: tetracaine to reduce pain.
Drill honey lozenges are reserved for adults and children aged 6 and over for the treatment of mild sore throats without fever, canker sores and small mouth sores.
How to take Drill Rose Honey?
From the age of 15, it is possible to take 1 Drill tablet 4 times a day. Between 6 and 15 years, this dosage is reduced to 3 per day.
Throat lozenges should be taken away from meals and spaced at least 2 hours apart.
Rose Honey lozenges should be sucked slowly without chewing them.
The duration of treatment will be limited to 5 days. If symptoms worsen (intense pain, cough with sputum, difficulty swallowing, fever) a visit to the doctor will be necessary.
Contraindications of Drill lozenges with honey
This medicine for sore throat should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Drill lozenges should not be used for a prolonged period so as not to unbalance the ENT flora.
Do not combine them with other medications containing an anesthetic or antiseptic.
Drill Miel Rosat lozenges should not be sucked before taking a drink or a meal to avoid the risk of misdirection (swallowing sideways).
This medication should not be used in case of allergy to chlorhexidine or tetracaine or to the excipients (sodium ascorbate, sucrose, liquid glucose, white honey, ammonium glycyrrhizinate, dry licorice extract, natural rose flavor) which are included in the Drill lozenges formula.
Drill Miel Rosat should not be taken in cases of fructose intolerance, glucose or galactose malabsorption syndrome.
Each Drill honey lozenge provides 2.5g of sugar: you must therefore take this into account if you are diabetic or on a diet.
