Product Information

Gavisconell mint without sugar is a non-prescription medicine against heartburn (pyrosis) GORD (gastro-oesophageal reflux) and acid regurgitation.
These phenomena can be observed in particular in the case of difficult digestion, during pregnancy, during oesophagitis or simply after meals, especially if they are rich and copious.

Gavisconell, how does it work?

Gavisconell chewable tablets will form a protective layer that floats above the contents of the stomach. This layer will prevent the reflux phenomenon and keep the acid stocal chamber at a distance from the wall. Thus Gavisconell will relieve the sensations of heartburn, discomfort in the mouth and throat.

The action of Gavisconell is therefore mechanical and does not depend on systemic absorption.

Gavisconell Formula

The chewable tablets contain 250 mg potassium alginate, 133.50 mg sodium bicarbonate and 80 mg calcium carbonate as active substances.

These tablets for stomach pain are sugar-free, gluten-free and mint-flavoured.

The excipients in the formulation are mannitol (E421), macrogol 20,000, copovidone, aspartam (E951), mint, magnesium stearate, potassium acesulfam (E950)

How to take Gavisconell tablets

This medicine can be taken from the age of 12. The Gavisconell tablet should be chewed before swallowing. In the case of burns or reflux, take 2 to 4 tablets, after the main meals and at bedtime. Maximum 4 times a day.

A 2 h must be allowed for the use of other medicines.

After one week of treatment, if symptoms last or get worse, you should consult your doctor to re-evaluate the management.

Precautions for use of Gavisconell

Gavisconell can be used in pregnant women and during breast-feeding if necessary.

This stomach medicine contains aspartame and should therefore not be used in case of phenylketonuria.

Four Gavisconell tablets provide 246 mg sodium: take this into account in a salt-free diet.

It should be noted that 4 tablets also bring 320 mg calcium carbonate, patients with hypercalcaemia, nephrocalcinosis or recurrent renal calcium lithiasis should therefore be careful when taking Gavisconell.
