Hexicid antiseptic spray solution belongs to the category of disinfectant and antiseptic dermatological drugs. Designed by Cooper Laboratories, it is particularly indicated for the antisepsis of superficial and small wounds.
The active ingredients of Cooper's Hexicid antiseptic solution are:
- Chlorhexidine gluconate: 0.250 g
- Benzalkonium chloride: 0.025 g
- Benzyl alcohol: 4 ml
For 100 ml of Hexicid solution.
HOW TO USE THE HEXICID ANTISEPTIC SPRAY SOLUTION?
The Hexicid antiseptic solution is one of the local antiseptics: its action reduces the number of micro-organisms present on the treated area. It should not be used on a large surface, or under an occlusive dressing.
Hexicid Antiseptic Solution is used at the rate of one to two applications per day, without exceeding 5 consecutive days of use. This solution for local application does not require rinsing after use. It is reserved for external use and by the cutaneous route only: do not use it on the mucous membranes, nor for the disinfection of medical or surgical equipment.
The Hexicid solution must be applied pure, and must not be rinsed off.
- 1 or 2 applications per day.
- The duration of treatment should be limited to 5 days.
