Homeovox, used in homeopathy for voice extinction and hoarseness
It is traditionally used for voice conditions such as hoarseness, voice extinction or vocal cord fatigue.
Composition of Homeovox
Its formula combines the strains of:
Aconitum napellus 3 CH
Arum triphyllum 3 CH
Belladonna 6 CH
Bryonia 3 CH
Calendula officinalis 6 CH
Ferrum phosphoricum 6 CH
Hepar sulfur 6 CH
Kalium bichromicum 6 CH
Mercurius solubilis 6 CH
Populus candicans 6 CH
Spongia tosta 6 CH
They are all 0.164 mg for a 300 mg coated tablet.
The excipients of Homeovox are as follows: sucrose, lactose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, gum arabic, gelatin, talc, white wax, Carnauba wax.
Lactose and sucrose are excipients with a notorious effect.
Dosage of Homeovox voice extinction
Treatment with Homeovox is 2 tablets 3 to 6 times a day. The treatment lasts 6 days but if the symptoms do not improve after 48 hours, you will consult your doctor.
In order to optimize treatment with Homeovox, you must rest your vocal cords, trying not to strain your voice despite the hoarseness, and avoid speaking as much as possible. Wear a scarf to keep your throat warm, hydrate with hot drinks (but not too much).
Precautions with Homeovox Boiron
Do not give to children under 6 years old due to the risk of aspiration.
Do not take in case of allergy to any of the constituents.
Due to the presence of sucrose and lactose in the Homeovox formula, it is not recommended in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose and galactose malabsorption syndrome, Lapp lactase deficiency or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (rare hereditary diseases).
This medication should not be used in cases of otitis or sinusitis without medical advice, due to the presence of HEPAR SULFUR 6 CH in the Homeovox formula.
