Description

Humex Sore Throat Honey Lemon Sugar-Free Lozenges are formulated to relieve mild sore throat discomfort without fever, as well as discomfort associated with mouth ulcers and minor mouth sores. Their triple-action formula combines lidocaine hydrochloride, a local anesthetic that helps relieve pain, with two local antiseptics, amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol.

With a pleasant honey-lemon flavor, these sugar-free lozenges dissolve slowly in the mouth to provide targeted relief. They are sweetened with sodium saccharin, maltitol, and isomalt.

Active Ingredients

Each lozenge contains:

• Lidocaine hydrochloride: 2 mg — local anesthetic.

Other Ingredients

Peppermint essential oil, quinoline yellow (E104), sodium saccharin, tartaric acid, isomalt (E953), maltitol (E965), sunset yellow FCF (E110), lemon flavoring, and honey flavoring. The honey flavoring contains propylene glycol.

Each lozenge also contains approximately 633 mg of maltitol, 1,830 mg of isomalt, 0.01 mg of sunset yellow FCF (E110), and 0.33 mg of propylene glycol.

Indications

Humex Sore Throat Honey Lemon Sugar-Free Lozenges are indicated for adults and children over 12 years of age for:

• Mild sore throat without fever.

• Mouth ulcers (canker sores).

• Minor sores of the mouth.

Directions for Use

Allow one lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth without chewing it. Take the lozenges between meals and repeat if necessary, after two hours.

• Adults and children over 15 years: Maximum of 8 lozenges per day.

• Children aged 12–15 years: Maximum of 4 lozenges per day.

Treatment should not exceed 5 days. Do not use immediately before eating or drinking, as the local anesthetic effect may interfere with swallowing.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to lidocaine, other local anesthetics, or any of the ingredients.

• Not recommended for children aged 6–12 years due to insufficient data; contraindicated in children under 6 years. 

• Not recommended for people with a history of or suspected methemoglobinemia.

• Use is not recommended during pregnancy, and the product must not be used while breastfeeding.

• People with asthma or bronchospasm, or a history of these conditions, should seek medical advice before use.

• Maltitol and isomalt may have a mild laxative effect. People with hereditary fructose intolerance should not take this medicine.

• Sunset yellow FCF (E110) may cause allergic reactions.

• Do not combine with other medicines containing the same active ingredients without professional advice.

• Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen, fever develops, or there is no improvement after 3 days.

• Keep out of reach of children.
