Gastropax is a powder administered to relieve pain and burning in the esophagus or in pain, burning and sour stomach.
You have 100 g of powder in the packaging of this medicine.
Composition of Gastropax Lehning
The active substances are: Calcium carbonate 20g, Magnesium trisilicate 20g, Light magnesium carbonate 20g, Heavy kaolin 15g, Sodium bicarbonate 15g, Magnesium hydroxide 6g, and Tricalcium phosphate 3g per 100g of powder.
The excipient is star anise tincture.
Dosage of Gastropax powder
This medication is reserved for adults. You must dilute a teaspoon of Gastropax in a glass of water at the time of stomach pain and do not take more than 6 doses per day. There is usually no need to take more. If symptoms worsen or are associated with fever, vomiting or if they persist after ten days, you should consult your doctor.
As a precaution, you should space out the doses by 2 hours between the antacid and another medication.
Precautions for use of Gastropax
This medication should not be administered in the event of a history of allergy to one of the constituents, severe kidney disease or hypercalcemia.
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist of your current treatments to avoid interactions and overdoses. Gastropax should not be combined with quinidinics.
If you suffer from stomach acid, it is recommended that you avoid tobacco, alcoholic beverages, overly spicy meals, stress, certain medications, aspirin and anti-inflammatories.
You should consult your doctor beforehand in case of kidney disease or chronic dialysis.
If you must have a salt-free or low-salt diet, you must take into account the sodium content which is 164 mg per teaspoon.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek the advice of their doctor before taking this treatment.
