The drug Lysopain Ambroxol lemon without sugar is indicated in cases of acute sore throat. The box contains 18 lozenges which have a local anesthetic action, and which are sweetened with sorbitol and sucralose.
The active ingredient is ambroxol hydrochloride dosed at 20 mg per tablet and the other components are lemon flavor (containing sucrose), Frescofort flavor, sorbitol (E420), sucralose, macrogol 6000, and talc.
Dosage of Lysopaine Ambroxol lemon without sugar sore throat
Sugar-free Lysopain Ambroxol lemon lozenges should only be taken by children over 12 years of age and by adults. They will be sucked to relieve sore throats at a maximum of six lozenges per day.
The beneficial effects for sore throats appear within 20 minutes of taking it and the effect will last a maximum of three hours.
Treatment should not exceed three days; if symptoms persist or if a fever appears, you should consult your doctor.
If you forget, do not double the dose.

Contraindications of Lysopaïne Ambroxol lemon lozenges without sugar
Sugar-free Lysopain Ambroxol lemon lozenges are contraindicated if you are hypersensitive or allergic to one of the components of this medication or if you are intolerant to fructose because of sorbitol.
You are advised to consult your doctor if symptoms persist for more than three days or in the event of high fever, if you are intolerant to certain sugars, or if you have liver or kidney problems.
The drug Lysopain Ambroxol lemon without sugar is not intended to treat painful lesions such as ulcers or wounds of the oral cavity. You need to consult your doctor.
During treatment, breathing difficulties and dyspnea may be observed, these are linked to an underlying disease such as swelling of the throat.
You may also notice a feeling of tightness and numbness in your throat, which is due to the local anesthetic effect of this medication.
And we can also observe an allergic reaction which causes swelling of the throat.
Be careful if skin lesions or mucous membranes appear, as a precautionary measure you should stop treatment with Lysopain Ambroxol lemon without sugar and consult your doctor.
Indeed, during studies, severe skin lesions (with a possible diagnosis of Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN)) were reported in very rare cases when these lozenges were given in parallel with other expectorants such as ambroxol. But in most cases, these skin or mucosal lesions can be the cause of the underlying disease or of the drugs used to treat these pathologies, or of pre-existing severe lesions which can begin with precursor symptoms similar to those of the flu.
