Lysopaine Ambroxol sugar-free mint lozenges is a medicine indicated for the local treatment of the throat, intended for adults and children over 12 years old. It is suitable for diabetics. It relieves pain in cases of acute sore throat thanks to its local anesthetic effect. The therapeutic effect is produced by the active substance of this medicine: ambroxol hydrochloride.

Composition of a Lysopaïne Ambroxol mint lozenge without sugar

One tablet of this medicine contains 20 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride. The other ingredients are peppermint flavor (gum arabic, Chinese peppermint oil, maltodextrin, lactose monohydrate), sorbitol (E 420), sodium saccharin, macrogol 6000 and talc.

Dosage of Lysopain sore throat Ambroxol sugar-free mint lozenges

This medication should be taken following the instructions of the doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is one lozenge to take to relieve pain, without exceeding 6 lozenges per day. This medicine should not be used for more than 3 days.
A lozenge takes 20 minutes to provide its anesthetic effect. It will last at least 3 hours.

If you take too many lozenges, you should immediately consult your doctor if you experience any abnormal symptoms. If you forget a dose, you should not double the dose to make up for the missed dose.

This medicine is not suitable for painful lesions of the oral cavity, for example ulcers or sores.
There may be difficulty breathing related to an underlying illness, or a feeling of tightness in the throat related to the local anesthetic, or an allergic reaction.
This medication may also cause a feeling of numbness.
If you experience a serious skin reaction, you should stop taking this medication and contact your doctor immediately.
You must inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medication.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not take this medicine.
