This 15 cm high creeping sub-shrub bears white to pale pink flowers at the base of the leaves. The evergreen, finely toothed leaves are grouped at the ends of the stiff stems. Canadian wintergreen appreciates acid and sandy swamps and wood and bears scarlet red berries from October to March. Distilled part: leaf. Origin: China.
