Sedative PC in tablets from Boiron laboratories is a complex of homeopathic components with sedative purposes.
This medication is traditionally used in anxious and emotional states, as well as minor sleep disorders.
It is suitable for adults and children over 1 year old. Between 1 year and 30 months, this medicine can only be taken by your child on medical advice.
Sedative PC comes in the form of sublingual tablets.
The active substances of this medicine are, per 250 mg tablet:
Aconitum napellus 6 CH - 0.416 mg, Belladonna 6CH - 0.416 mg, Calendula officinalis 6CH - 0.416 mg, Chelidonium majus 6CH - 0.416 mg, Valeriana officinalis 4CH - 0.416 mg and Viburnum opulus 6CH - 0.416 mg.
The excipients are composed of sucrose, lactose and magnesium stearate.
Dosage of Sedative PC homeopathic tablets
PC Sedative is used at a rate of 2 tablets 3 times a day.
In adults, the duration of treatment is two weeks maximum. If symptoms worsen or persist after 7 days of treatment, you should consult a doctor.
Sedative PC is administered orally and preferably without meals. The tablets must be allowed to melt under the tongue.
In children under 6 years of age, the tablet must be dissolved in water before taking due to the risk of misuse.
The duration of treatment will be assessed by the treating physician in children aged 1 year to 30 months.
In children aged over 30 months, treatment should not exceed 10 days.
If the problems persist, the treatment will need to be re-evaluated.
Precautions for use with Sedative PC
If the sleep disorder concerns a child, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
PC Sedative contains sucrose and lactose, excipients with a notorious effect. This medicine should not be taken if you are allergic to any of its components. Its use is not recommended in patients with an intolerance to certain sugars.
This medicine does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
The substances contained in Sedatif PC, in the homeopathic dilutions present, are not likely to be dangerous during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
However, as a precaution, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should seek advice from your doctor before using this medicine.
