Stodal granules from Boiron laboratories is a medicine composed of 9 homeopathic strains traditionally used in the treatment of coughs. It can be used in adults and children.
The homeopathic strains in it are:
Antimonium tartaricum 6 CH,
Bryonia 3 CH,
Coccus cacti 4 CH,
Drosera 3 CH,
Ipeca 3 CH,
Rumex crispus 6 CH,
Spongia tosta 4 CH,
Sticta pulmonaria 3 CH,
All at the level of 0.005 ml for 4 g of granules.
The excipients are lactose and sucrose.
Dosage of Stodal granules for cough
The Stodal granules should be melted under the tongue, at a rate of 5 granules 3 to 5 times a day, spacing out as soon as they improve.
The duration of treatment is limited to 1 week. If there is no improvement after 3 days, a medical consultation is necessary.
In children under 6 years old, the granules must be dissolved in water before being administered to avoid any risk of misuse and should be used after medical advice.
This medication should not be used in children under 2 years of age without medical advice.
Precautions for use of this homeopathic treatment for cough
Considering the dilution height of the strains composing Stodal granules, this medicine can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
