UPSA Carbocysteine ??5% Sugar-Free is a medication that thins bronchial secretions, facilitating the evacuation of mucus through coughing (expectoration). This syrup, reserved for adults, is used for cases of recent chesty coughs with difficulty expectorating.

Per 100 ml of syrup: Carbocysteine ??5 g - Caramel flavor

Other ingredients are: xanthan gum, sodium saccharin, sodium maltitol, 96% ethanol, sodium hydroxide, caramel flavor*, purified water.
Caramel flavor composition: diacetyl, propylene glycol, butyric acid, methylcyclopentenolone, maltol, 4-hydroxy-2,5-dimethyl-3(H)-furanone, piperonal, and vanillin.

Dosage of UPSA Carbocisteine ??5% Sugar-Free

This chesty cough syrup is for adults over 15 years of age. The dosage is 1 dose morning, noon, and evening, between meals, without exceeding 3 measuring scoops per day. (1 scoop = 15 ml = 750 mg of carbocisteine).

Do not exceed 5 days of treatment.

Contraindications for Carbocisteine ??Chesty Cough Syrup for Adults

If you are allergic to carbocisteine ??or any of the other ingredients.

Do not use cough suppressants or medications that dry out mucus. Carbocisteine ??syrup is contraindicated in cases of fever or greenish sputum, chronic bronchial or lung disease, digestive ulcers, use by the elderly, or concomitant use with medications that may cause stomach or intestinal bleeding.

If stomach or intestinal bleeding occurs, it is recommended to discontinue treatment.
Carbocisteine ??syrup contains alcohol. Do not combine with any other medication containing carbocisteine.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medication.

This medication contains carbocisteine. Other medications contain it. Do not combine them, so as not to exceed the maximum recommended doses.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medication.

This syrup contains alcohol, so it should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Due to the presence of alcohol, this medication should not be taken during pregnancy.
