Urgo Sterile Non-Woven Absorbent Compresses are designed for cleaning, drying, absorbing wound exudates, and protecting superficial wounds. Made from a soft viscose/polyester material, these sterile compresses are suitable for everyday first-aid care and professional use.

Each box contains 25 sterile individual bags, with 2 compresses per bag, for a total of 50 compresses.

Directions for Use

1. Open the sterile sachet carefully.
2. Clean and disinfect the wound and surrounding area using a compress with an appropriate antiseptic solution, soap, or other suitable cleansing product.
3. Dry the wound using a clean compress.
4. If necessary, stop any bleeding before dressing the wound.
5. Depending on the size of the wound and amount of exudate, cover with 1 or 2 compresses.
6. Secure the compress with a plaster or another suitable fixation method.
7. Replace the dressing 1 to 2 times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional, depending on the condition of the wound and dressing.

Precautions

• Check the integrity of the sterile packaging before use.
• Do not use if the packaging is damaged or if the product is past its use-by date.
• Sterile compresses are for single use only. Do not reuse.
• Do not store compresses in an opened sachet.
• Do not reposition a compress after it has been applied.
• Do not re-sterilize. These compresses are sterilized with ethylene oxide.
• Regularly monitor the wound and surrounding area for signs of infection, including increasing pain, redness, swelling, unusual odor, or discharge.
• If you suspect an infection or have concerns about the wound, consult a doctor or healthcare professional.
• A wound is generally considered superficial when it affects only the skin and immediately underlying tissue.
• For an accidental wound longer than 3 cm, medical evaluation within 6 hours may be recommended to determine whether further treatment is needed.
