VoltarenSpé 2% Anti-Inflammatory Gel – 50 g

Description

VoltarenSpé 2% Gel is a topical anti-inflammatory medication for the short-term relief of pain associated with minor injuries, including sprains and bruises. It can also be used as an additional treatment for muscle, tendon, and ligament pain, and for painful osteoarthritis flare-ups following medical advice.

The formula contains 2.32% diclofenac diethylamine, equivalent to 2% diclofenac sodium, to help relieve local pain and inflammation.

Directions for Use

For external use only. Apply to intact skin and massage gently until absorbed.

Apply twice daily, preferably morning and evening:

• Minor injuries, including sprains and bruises: Use no more than 2.5 g per application for a maximum of 4 days.

• Muscle, tendon, and ligament pain: Use no more than 2.5 g per application for a maximum of 7 days.

• Osteoarthritis flare-ups: Use only after medical advice. Apply no more than 4 g per application for 7 days, extending to a maximum of 14 days if needed.

Consult a doctor if pain persists beyond the recommended treatment period or symptoms worsen.

After application, wipe your hands with a paper towel, discard it, and wash your hands, unless your hands are the area being treated. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time.

Precautions

• Do not use in children under 15 years of age.

• Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac, any ingredient, aspirin, or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including if these have previously caused an allergic reaction.

• Do not apply to wounds, burns, eczema, infected skin, or other damaged skin.

• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not swallow.

• Avoid sun exposure on the treated area during use.

• Pregnancy: Do not use from the beginning of the sixth month of pregnancy. During the first five months, use only if absolutely necessary and on a doctor’s advice.

• Breastfeeding: Use is not recommended. Never apply to the breasts.

• Propylene glycol, butylhydroxytoluene, D-limonene, and linalool may cause irritation or allergic reactions.

• Read the enclosed leaflet before use. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Composition

Active ingredient per 100 g: Diclofenac diethylamine 2.32 g, equivalent to diclofenac sodium 2 g.

Other ingredients: Carbomers, C12–18 fatty alcohol esters of caprylic and capric acids, diethylamine, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, macrogol cetostearyl ether, oleyl alcohol, eucalyptus fragrance containing D-limonene and linalool, purified water, propylene glycol, and butylhydroxytoluene.
