Product Information

Boiron COVID 19 Antigenic Self-Test is a nasal test to detect SARS-CoV-2 to carry out yourself. COVID-19 is an acute infectious disease of the respiratory tract caused by a virus which is transmitted very easily, particularly through droplets of saliva, when speaking, coughing or sneezing; by infected hands or by aerosols (particles even finer than droplets, coming from the nose or mouth).
COVID-19 is at the origin of the pandemic which gave rise to barrier gestures. However, despite the precautions taken, you may still experience symptoms of COVID. To be sure, protect yourself and others in order to reduce the risk of a pandemic, it is preferable to carry out an antigen self-test.
What are the advantages of the Boiron Covid Self-Test?
This nasal antigen self-test for SARS-CoV-2 screening makes it easier to screen for COVID-19. From the first symptoms (fever, fatigue, dry cough, loss of taste or smell, etc.) Boiron's COVID 19 antigenic self-test allows you to determine at home, and wherever you are, whether you are a carrier of the virus. This helps prevent its spread upstream and protects your loved ones in the event of contamination. You can also use it if you are asymptomatic, but have been in contact with an infected person.

Using a simple nasal swab, the self-test can determine the presence or absence of the SARS-CoV-2 antigen. In the event of a positive test, the infection can be confirmed by a doctor. A negative test does not completely rule out infection, especially in the presence of symptoms of the disease.
How to use the Boiron COVID self-test?
This antigen test is a nasal detection test that is easily carried out in the nose using a swab. This is a rapid detection test.

The box contains a test cassette, a swab, an extraction solution and instructions for use.

Before use, carefully read the instructions included in the box.

Before starting, wash your hands thoroughly.
Take out the swab, making sure to open the protective packaging on the stem side.
Take the sample from both nostrils, pushing the swab into each nostril 1.5 to 2 cm (until you feel resistance).
Rotate the swab at least 5 times in each nostril so that mucus and secretions are properly collected.
Before continuing, make sure you have taken the sample from each nostril.
Unscrew the cap of the extraction tube and place the swab inside.
Press the head of the swab against the walls of the tube for approximately 10 seconds in the extraction solution.
Remove the swab by gently pressing on its head to remove as much liquid as possible.
Replace the cap on the tube and screw it on.
Remove the cassette from its packaging and place it on a flat, stable, well-lit surface.
Make sure there are no bubbles in the liquid in the tube, unscrew the cap.
Squeeze the tube to place 2 drops of solution into the “S” well of the test cassette.
Start a stopwatch or timer for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, the result appears.
Do not read the result before 15 minutes or after 20 minutes
Interpretation of the results of the Boiron COVID 19 antigen test
After 15 minutes:

If no control line (C) appears, the test did not work and is not considered valid.
If two lines appear: one for the control line (C) and one for the test line (T), this means that SARS-CoV-2 has been detected. The test is positive. In this case, contact your doctor and continue to respect barrier gestures. It is advisable to carry out a PCR test to confirm the result.
If only the control line (C) appears, SARS-CoV-2 has not been detected or the virus concentration is not sufficient. If the test is negative, but the symptoms persist, perform an RT-PCR test and continue to respect barrier gestures.

And for the immune system and the body's defenses, think about Boiron Immuno+ capsules.
