Boiron Sinuphyl film-coated tablets is an herbal medicine that is used in the treatment of uncomplicated acute inflammation affecting the paranasal sinuses in adults.

It comes in the form of green, round, biconvex, film-coated tablets. Their surface is smooth.
Sinuphyl's active substance is a native dry extract (3-6:1) of gentian root (Gentiana lutea L.), primrose flowers (Primula veris L.), sorrel (Rumex crispus L.), elderflower (Sambucus nigra L.), verbena (Verbena officinalis L.) (1:3:3:3:3).
The first extraction agent is ethanol 51% (m/m)*S.
One film-coated tablet contains 160 mg of native dry extract.

The other ingredients of this medicine are sucrose, talc, calcium carbonate (E170), microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, cellulose powder, hypromellose, dextrin, spray-dried acacia, anhydrous hydrophobic silica, titanium dioxide (E171), liquid glucose, vegetable magnesium stearate, stearic acid, chlorophyll in powder 25% (which contains copper-chlorophyllin E141), indigotin aluminum lake (which contains indigotin E132 and aluminum hydroxide, carnauba wax and riboflavin (E101).
Dosage of Sinuphyl de Boiron
You should carefully follow the instructions in the leaflet or the instructions of the pharmacist or doctor.
Recommended dose:
Adults: 1 tablet 3 times a day.
3 tablets maximum per day.
The processing time is 7 to 14 days.

There is insufficient data regarding concrete dosage recommendations in cases of hepatic or renal insufficiency.

The tablets should be swallowed in the morning, noon and evening, preferably after meals, with a little liquid, for example a glass of water. The tablets should not be chewed.

If you take too much Sinuphyl, contact your doctor. If you forget to take it, do not double the next dose to compensate.

Sinuphyl: precautions for use
You should never take this medicine if you are allergic (hypersensitivity) to the active substance or to one of its other components or if you have or have had a peptic ulcer.

If you have symptoms that persist for more than one to two weeks, get worse or recur periodically and/or if you have a fever, a nosebleed, severe pain, purulent nasal discharge, vision problems, asymmetrical numbness in the middle of the face, eyes or face, contact your doctor.

Sinuphyl is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

You must inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, could take or have recently taken any other medication.
Taking Sinuphyl should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
This medicine may have a minor influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

If you have an intolerance to certain sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medication.

Diabetics: a Sinuphyl tablet contains on average 0.3 g of digestible carbohydrates.

Common side effects of Sinuphyl (up to 1 in 10 people) are digestive problems such as abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, bloating and vomiting.
Uncommon side effects (up to 1 in 100 people) are local hypersensitivity reactions such as rash, skin redness, itching of the skin or eyes and severe allergic reactions.
If the first signs of a hypersensitivity reaction occur, Sinuphyl should be discontinued.

Store out of sight and reach of children, at a temperature below 30°C.
