Zincum metallicum granules are composed of a homeopathic strain and two excipients, sucrose and lactose.

The strain used for this Boiron homeopathic medicine is Zincum metallicum, that is to say zinc.

Zinc is a metal widely used in different industries, but also a trace element involved in numerous biochemical reactions within the body.

To manufacture this medicine, the Boiron laboratory subjected the homeopathic strain, Zincum metallicum, to a trituration process with lactose. It allows obtaining a crush having the active ingredients of the strain. Then, this trituration is diluted in a solvent to obtain a mother tincture. Then this mother tincture is diluted and energized several times. The hundredth dilutions are called Hahnemann Centesimals, in reference to Samuel Hahnemann, founder of homeopathy. These are the CH. So, 30 CH means that there were 30 hundredth dilutions. The mother tincture, once diluted and dynamized, is used to impregnate the granules which therefore present different dilutions of CH.

Dosage of Zincum metallicum granules

The granules should be allowed to melt once placed under the tongue. To administer this homeopathic medicine to a child under 6 years of age, it is necessary to dissolve the granules in a small amount of water before giving them to the child.
