Product Information

The drug Biogaran borax / boric acid is a solution for ophthalmic washing. This medicine is indicated for washing the eyes, in case of eye irritation in adults and children.

In 1 ml of solution there are 12 mg of Borax and 18 mg of boric acid.
The other ingredients are sodium chloride, rose water concentrate and purified water.

Dosage of Borax Boric acid Biogaran ophthalmic wash

The usual dose is 1 to 3 eye washes per day, to be carried out by jet washing, avoiding bringing the single-dose container into contact with the surface of the eye or the eyelids. The excess can be cleaned with a compress or cotton wool. A single dose can be used to wash both eyes but must be thrown away after use. An opened single-dose container cannot be reused.
If you wear contact lenses, they must be removed before using this solution.

If several eye drops must be administered, wait 15 minutes between each instillation.
To continue treatment after 2 days of use, medical advice is necessary. If you take too much Borax / Boric Acid Biogaran, rinse your eyes with sterile physiological serum and immediately inform your doctor or pharmacist. If swallowed, contact a doctor or poison control center immediately.

Contraindications of Borax Boric acid Biogaran

If you are allergic to borax, boric acid or any of the other ingredients contained in this medicine.

Some precautions are necessary with the administration of Borax/Boric Acid. If symptoms persist after 2 days of treatment, or if new symptoms appear, stop use and consult a doctor. This ophthalmic solution does not treat irritation caused by contact lenses.
If you experience decreased vision, eye pain, or unusual eye symptoms, contact your doctor.

The drug Borax / Boric acid should be used with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Finally, after instillation of this solution, vision may become blurred; driving or operating machines is therefore not recommended until normal vision returns.
