On first use and before each use, cleanse the teat with soapy water and rinse. Then sterilize it for 10 minutes by boiling or in a sterilizer. After each use, cleanse and sterilize. Always use under the supervision of an adult. Never use as a soother. Prolonged feeding of liquids can lead to dental caries. Examine before each use and pull the teat in all directions especially if the child has teeth. Discard at the first sign of deterioration or fragility. Do not expose to direct sunlight or near any source of heat. Do not leave in a sterilization solution beyond the recommended duration, which could weaken it. Replace after 1 or 2 months of use for health and safety reasons.
