Product Information

Gaviscon Pro Mint ,  a single-dose oral suspension, is an  anti-reflux medication . This medication forms a protective layer  that floats above the stomach contents. This layer helps prevent reflux and keeps stomach contents away from the esophageal wall, thereby  relieving heartburn and acid regurgitation.

These regurgitations can occur during pregnancy or with a hiatal hernia.

Composition of Gaviscon Pro sugar-free

The active ingredients are sodium alginate (1000 mg) and potassium bicarbonate (200 mg).

The other ingredients are: Calcium carbonate, carbomer 974 P, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), sodium saccharin, mint flavor, potassium hydroxide (for pH adjustment), purified water.

Dosage of Gaviscon Pro Sugar-Free Mint

The recommended dosage for adults and children over 12 years is to take 1/2 to 1 10 ml sachet three times a day after meals and, if necessary, at bedtime. The suspension should be swallowed as is.

Lifestyle and dietary measures can improve reflux, such as avoiding fatty or very spicy foods. Avoiding alcohol, smoking, or wearing tight clothing can also contribute to reflux. Being overweight, leaning forward, and lying down can all increase the risk of reflux.

Precautions for use of Gaviscon Pro mint sachets

The presence of sodium and potassium should be taken into account in case of a strict salt-free diet and the potassium in this medicine can increase the concentration of potassium in the blood. The calcium carbonate in GavisconPro increases the calcium level in the blood, and can induce kidney stones.

This medicine can be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding but it is better to seek medical advice beforehand.  Consult the package leaflet before administration. Packaging: 10 or 20 sachets Due to the immaturity of their digestive tract, babies sometimes face reflux. Your pediatrician may advise you to give him Gaviscon infant .
