The excipient with a notorious effect in the formula is ethanol.
Dosage of Gelsemium complex n°70 Lehning
The recommended dosage for adults is 20 drops 3 times a day, for a maximum treatment duration of 3 weeks.
In case of crisis: 10 drops per dose, renewable depending on the symptoms without exceeding 60 drops per day.
Concerning children over 6 years old, the use and dosage of Gelsemium complex n°70 will be implemented on medical advice only. The generally recommended dosage is 5 drops per day distributed throughout the day. These must be spaced at least 4 hours apart. The duration of treatment is 5 days.
The drops should be taken in a little water, preferably outside of meals. Keep the medicine under the tongue before swallowing. Sublingual route.
The doses will be spaced out depending on the improvement of the symptoms.
Contraindications of Gelsemium complex n°70:
This medication should never be used in children under 6 years of age, or in cases of allergy to active substances, in particular to Rhus toxicodendron, or to one of its components.
Gelsemium complex n°70 contains ethanol. Thus, its use is dangerous in alcoholic subjects, and must also be taken into account in pregnant or breastfeeding women, but also in children and high-risk groups such as epileptic subjects or hepatic insufficiency.
This medication is not recommended for pregnant women, but also for breastfeeding women, due to the presence of alcohol in its formula.
