Let the person lie down for 5 minutes before taking the temperaturePlace the thermometer black face down on the dry forehead, just above the eyebrows. Press it firmly onto the forehead, holding it by the ends. Make sure the thermometer is in full contact with the forehead for about 15 seconds or wait until the colour no longer changesThe temperature corresponds to the brightest colour (green or the colour between blue and beige). Clean only with a soft cloth, which can be slightly moistened. The ambient temperature must be 21°C (± 6°C). Do not use the thermometer within 30 minutes after physical activity or after drinking a hot beverage. Do not use the thermometer outdoors, after sunbathing or after exposure to extreme heat or cold. This thermometer gives body temperature and is not as accurate as a medical thermometer (anal or ear thermometer). It is therefore recommended to take the temperature several times under the same conditions. In the case of an increase of more than 1°C or if you think the person has a fever, reconfirm with a fever thermometer or consult a doctor. After each use, keep the thermometer in its box, in a dry, temperate place out of the sun.
