Description:

Voltaren Actigo 2% intense gel is formulated with diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory gel, with local anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity.
It is recommended as a short-term local treatment in adults cases of mild trauma, such as sprain (strain) or contusion.

Voltaren Actigo 2%'s active substance is diethylamine diclofenac, dosed at 2.32 g (amount corresponding to sodium diclofenac: 2.00 g) per 100 g of gel.
The other components that go into Voltaren Actigo 2%'s formula are: butylated hydroxytoluene, carbomers, ester of caprylic and capric acids with fatty alcohol from C12 to C18, diethylamine, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, macrogol cetostearyl ether, oleic alcohol, propylene glycol, perfume eucalyptus, purified water.

Directions:

The recommended dosage of Voltaren Actigo 2% is 1 application 2 times a day, preferably in the morning and in the evening, on the painful area. 
The gel must be applied with a gentle and prolonged massage on the painful or inflamed area in order to make it penetrate.
Wash your hands after each use. Do not use more than the recommended dosage.

The duration of treatment is limited to 4 days. If there is no improvement beyond that, or if the symptoms worsen, you should consult your doctor. 

Voltaren Actigo 2% should not be used in case of allergy to this medicine or to a related medicine (in particular to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin) or to one of its excipients, on injured skin, regardless of whatever the lesion (oozing lesions, eczema, infected lesion, burn or wound, For adult use only. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If a skin rash appears after applying VoltarenActigo 2% gel, you must immediately stop treatment. 

Be careful with this medication if you have or have a history of bronchial asthma, allergic disease, peptic ulcer, kidney or liver failure, risk of bleeding or inflammation of the intestine. 
You should not expose yourself to the sun or tanning lamps during the treatment. 
The propylene glycol contained in this medication can induce skin irritations, while butylated hydroxytoluene (E320) can cause local skin reactions such as eczema, or irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes. 

Voltaren Actigo 2% gel should not be used under an occlusive dressing, however, a bandage or a compress can be used. 
It is recommended, in case of intensive use, to wear gloves. 

You should tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you have recently or are taking, even if they were obtained without a prescription. 
VoltarenActigo 2% gel contains diclofenac, as do other medicines. They should not be combined with each other, so as not to exceed the maximum recommended doses. 

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

VoltarenActigo 2% gel passes into breast milk. Thus, and as a precaution, it should not be used during breastfeeding.
